Kyiv interior restoration protocol

Every cabin we release carries a numbered, signable record

Interior restoration here is not a menu of add-ons. It is one documented sequence of twelve steps, each with a treatment code, an agent pH, a dwell time and an extraction count. Nothing moves to the next step until the previous reading is written down.

The handover sheet you receive lists every code applied to your vehicle, the moisture reading at each upholstery pass, and the odour score before and after, assessed on a 1-5 studio scale. If a step was skipped, it is written as skipped.

  • IR-01 Fibre identification and colour-fastness test
  • IR-05 Hot-water extraction, 3 passes, 42 °C
  • IR-09 Odour-source management, 1-5 scale

Kyiv interior restoration protocol

Twelve protocol steps across five phases

Every cabin follows the same order. Each row names the surface or fibre it targets, the agent pH, and the dwell time held before the next pass.

Phase 01 · Intake and assessment

  1. 01-INT

    Vehicle intake scan

Fibre map per seat and a moisture baseline at three points.

    20 min · pH n/a
  2. 02-TST

    Patch test and colour fastness

Hidden seam test before any wet work touches the trim.

    5 min · pH 7.0

Phase 02 · Upholstery extraction

  1. 03-PRE

    Dry soil extraction

HEPA vacuum only, no liquid on the fibre at this stage.

    25 min · pH n/a
  2. 04-EXT

    Fabric seat extraction

Three hot-water passes with a controlled wet edge.

    8 min · pH 9.2
  3. 05-EXT

    Headliner extraction

Low moisture, two passes, no saturation of the backing.

    4 min · pH 6.5
  4. 06-RIN

    Residue rinse

Deionised rinse, moisture target below 12 percent.

    10 min · pH 7.0

Phase 03 · Surface treatment

  1. 07-SUR

    Leather cleaning

Panel by panel, seams and perforations first.

    6 min · pH 5.5
  2. 08-SUR

    Leather conditioning

Worked in and buffed matte, never left glossy.

    15 min · pH 4.8
  3. 09-SUR

    Hard surface treatment

Plastics and trim, matte dressing on every grain.

    3 min · pH 8.0

Phase 04 · Odour source work

  1. 10-ODR

    Odour source work

Enzyme agent on the source itself; ventilation duct treatment quoted separately.

    45 min · pH 6.8
  2. 11-ODR

    Cabin air cycle

Odour reduction re-read on the 1-5 studio scale.

    30 min · pH n/a

Phase 05 · Cabin detailing

  1. 12-FIN

    Final detailing and QC

Glass, vents and seals, then the elapsed-time log.

    40 min · pH 6.5

Odour-source management is rated on a 1-5 studio scale. Book a diagnostic.

Section 04 / Scope

Scope and limits

Interior restoration is a defined protocol, not an open-ended rebuild. Here is what the 12 steps cover, what stays outside the quote, and how odour work is measured.

Not included in the 12-step price

EX-01Ventilation duct treatment
Evaporator and duct cleaning is quoted separately after a borescope check, because access differs on every model.
EX-02Material replacement
Headliner sag, torn fabric and worn leather panels are re-trimmed or replaced at parts cost, not restored in place.
EX-03Mechanical and electrical faults
Blower motors, sensors, wiring and control modules are a workshop matter. We clean around them, we do not repair them.
EX-04Permanent odour sources
Mould inside insulation, fuel spills and biohazard contamination sit outside odour-source management and are refused or referred.

Odour reduction, 1-5 studio scale

Every cabin is rated before and after work using the same studio scale, so the improvement is a number you can read, not a claim.

  1. 1Neutral. No detectable odour at 20°C with doors closed.
  2. 2Faint. Noticeable only on first entry, clears in minutes.
  3. 3Moderate. Present throughout the drive, source is traceable.
  4. 4Strong. Absorbed into foam or trim, returns after ventilation.
  5. 5Severe. Persistent source, likely outside our scope of work.

Most vehicles arrive at 4 and leave at 2. We record the before and after rating on your protocol sheet, and we will not promise a 1 when the source sits in the ducts or the insulation.

Unsure which category your cabin falls into? Book a diagnostic scan and we rate it in person, at the studio, before any work is quoted.

STEP 12 / HANDOVER Kyiv interior restoration protocol

You leave with the completed protocol sheet, not only a cleaner cabin.

Every step is logged while it happens: fibre type and agent pH, extraction passes, dwell time, and moisture readings taken before the keys come back. The sheet stays with the vehicle, so a later question about a seat panel, a headliner or a surface treatment has a number behind it.

Where the work has a ceiling, the sheet says so. Odour-source management is recorded as odour reduction assessed on the 1-5 studio scale, and ventilation duct treatment is quoted separately before you commit to anything.

  • Step-by-step log with time stamps
  • Moisture readings per upholstery zone
  • Odour result on the 1-5 studio scale
